re|engage

Next Session TBA

Tuesdays, 6:30-8:30pm

Please check back in December for information on the next course.

re|engage is a marriage enrichment program offered by Reality Church, and is designed for couples who want to strengthen their marriage. Marriages in any condition can benefit, whether you are struggling to get along, your marriage is broken, or you simply want to grow closer together as a couple.

re|engage examines God’s design for marriage and applies principles from the Bible to guide couples towards growth in their relationship with each other.

During re|engage you can expect to:
1) Receive encouragement by hearing stories from other couples who have experienced victory in the midst of hard times.
2) Be placed in a small group with a facilitator couple and other couples to work through the curriculum together.

If the cost is a barrier for you, please email wdmuff@gmail.com or staceymuff@gmail.com for available scholarships. We believe marriages are important and we do not want anybody to miss out on the class because of the cost.

Investing in your marriage is always worth it. Period.

Brett & Laura Bodine, married 22 years

We honestly felt like we already had a pretty awesome marriage before re|engage,  but figured we had nothing to lose by going through a session.  We are glad we did!  We got to know each other even better, learned to be more intentional with each other, and also made some really great friends in the process.

Trigg & Nancy Wold, married 9 years

We enjoyed meeting new couples and engaging in tough conversations in a safe environment. We had an amazing group that grew closer and built lasting friendships.

Frequently Asked Questions

When and where does re|engage meet?
We typically meet during the Spring & Fall semesters on Tuesday nights from 6:30-8:30pm at Reality Church located at 10695 Portal Rd, Papillion, NE.
Childcare is provided.

How much does it cost?
re|engage costs $75 per couple, but remember that the first night is free! Come the first night and try it out. At the end of the evening, if you decide you would like to continue coming, you can pay for your materials using cash, check, or card. There is no additional fee for childcare.

What does a typical night at re|engage “look like”?
The flow on Tuesday night is as follows:
• 6:30pm - 7:15pm – Large Group Time (Real Life Stories and Teaching)
• 7:15pm - 8:30pm – Small Group Time

What is a Small Group?
You and your spouse will join 4-5 other couples and a facilitator couple to work through the 16 chapters of the re|engage workbook together.

Do you provide something for our children?
Yes, we do provide programming for children 6mo - 4th Grade at no additional cost. Children can be dropped off beginning at 6:20pm and must be picked up by 8:30pm.

What if my spouse can’t/won’t attend on Tuesday nights?
The large group teaching time is a great place for everyone. The small groups require both spouses to be most effective. If your spouse can’t attend right now, then maybe both of you can join when your schedule allows. If your spouse won’t attend, then we encourage you to be a part of a Life Group and prayerfully God will do some major restoration in your life and your spouse will see it and want some restoration too.

Will I be asked a lot of personal questions at re|engage?
There is no personal sharing required during the large group meeting. Although we highly encourage you to remain active in group discussion, any personal sharing during the small group meetings is voluntary.

How do I know that what I share at re|engage will be kept confidential? In other words, will it be a safe place to share?
We believe that scripture calls us to refrain from gossip and we ask all participants and facilitators to adhere to the guidelines that what is discussed in the group stays in the group. re|engage facilitators are encouraged to operate under the direction of God’s Word in handling the information shared in the group. In order to provide a safe environment, the facilitators have committed to not share information about others outside the group except in the event of the threat of physical, emotional or spiritual injury, then to be dealt with under the guidance of the re|engage staff.

Can I be honest with people about what is going on in our marriage?
Our prayer is that you will feel safe to share within your small group. We find that the more authentic and transparent couples can be with others, the more they find hope and healing within their marriage.

Is re|engage the same as marriage counseling?
re|engage is not marriage counseling, and the leaders are facilitators, not professional counselors. They are however, growing in their own marriages. Everyone in the group is on the journey to oneness in marriage. We believe that openness & honesty in a small group setting, using Biblically-based curriculum, is where God works to grow & resurrect marriages.

Can I just come and visit, or do I have to commit to something?
Your first night is a no-commitment opportunity for you experience what re|engage will be like. We will ask you at the end of the first evening if you are planning on committing to re|engage for the semester.

How much time each week outside of the meeting is required to be part of re|engage?
Completion of the curriculum will take approximately 30-45 minutes each week. The time required will vary, but it is designed to be short and sweet and get some good conversations going with your spouse.

What commitment do I have to make?
Working through the re|engage curriculum will require about a 3 month commitment. During this time, your small group will work through the 16 chapters of the re|engage workbook, enjoy a date night with free childcare, and celebrate your completion of re|engage with a dinner social.

I don’t know if I’ll have a marriage by the end of the month. Is re|engage a good place for us?
Absolutely! There are many couples who have attended, or are attending, who are separated. While the outcome is based on the work each individual is willing to do to save their marriage, the platform provides a safe place to focus on what a healthy marriage should look like, and it provides some tools to help grow toward this goal.

We don’t like spending time with each other anymore. Will we have to interact together?
Yes, there are exercises each week that will require you to interact with each other throughout the process. Further, while you will be in a small group together, each of you will be sharing about what you learn personally each week.

I have no hope anymore for my marriage. Is this a place where we can find hope?
Our prayer is that you will find hope that can allow God to do a mighty work within your marriage. We believe God can do miraculous things in marriages.

Our marriage is doing well. Can we benefit by attending re|engage?
Whether your marriage needs to be reignited, or is in need of a complete resurrection, re|engage is a safe place for couples to connect and grow in oneness.

We have only been married for a short while. Can we still come?
Absolutely! In fact, participating in re|engage at this stage in your marriage is an incredible idea! The program will provide a strong foundation for your marriage.

We are thinking about getting married (or are engaged). Is this ministry for us?
At this time, we suggest you not attend re|engage and choose to focus on marriage preparation through pre-marital counseling. If you would like more information on pre-marital counseling, please contact Roger Graber at roger.graber@reality.church.
